10 Essential points to remember in Content Writing for websites

Writing is as much as an art form as it is a skill, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t write content that is powerful and helps to improve your company’s ranking with the major search engines. There are certain elements which can help your website content, blog posts, articles submitted to online directories and other online content increase your rankings and move your business forward. Here are ten things to look for:

1. Content Matters: No matter what you write, keep in mind that it has the potential to reach a large audience and be beneficial to your company beyond any SEO benefits. Blogs, articles and on-site content are a chance to link your company to useful, interesting information about your industry. Well-written copy about intriguing topics is also more likely to be linked and shared by outsiders — increasing your page rank as well.

2. Write Compelling Headings: The titles of your articles and webpages are important — they are among the first things that can grab the reader’s attention. Instead of using a boring, generic heading, make sure that your heading is interesting while clearly explaining the content. Working a keyword into the heading is also a good idea.

3. Stay on Topic: It’s easy to write around a topic and begin drifting into tangents that are unrelated to your topic. Keep in mind that this is business writing and not a personal blog! While it’s OK to have some personality in your writing, your focus should always be on the topic you are writing about.

4. Ideal Keyword Length and Density: For website content and off-site articles for directory submission, content could be 300 to 1,000 words in length. The length of your article will largely be determined by the number of keywords you are using: you should use a keyword for every 50 to 100 words of content.

5. Don’t Stack Keywords: Some people cram all of their articles’ keywords into one section at the beginning of the article – often as part of a list. This looks unprofessional since all of your linked keywords will be running together on the page. Spread your keywords evenly throughout the article so they look more organic.

6. Add Keywords to the Bio: Whether you are writing a story for a magazine or submitting an article to an online directory, there will be an opportunity for you to add your biographical information. This is valuable real estate and another chance for optimization. Make sure that you include one keyword in your bio.

7. Write and Tag Hierarchically: Using the appropriate tags for your content will show Google and other search engines that it is professional and well-structured, leading to higher placements. Make sure you use the h1 tag for titles and the h2 tag for subheadings, etc. You should also apply this concept to your writing, putting the most compelling information up front.

8. Use META Descriptions: Making sure that your articles have META descriptions — 150 character descriptions of the content — that have keywords included. Including META descriptions is a great way to get Google to recognize your content and give it greater value.

9. Write Original Content: Search engines will punish sites that publish duplicate content that already exists online. Make sure that your content is fresh and original instead of just “copying and pasting” content from existing sources.

10. Choose Relevant Images: Having eye-catching images that are relevant to your content will grab the reader’s attention.

Every business or personal websites need to be considered for certain analysis before taking a start. This document is a web designing guide that will allow you to understand the facts you should remember for your web design.

1. What Are Your Business Goals?

It’s easy to say, “I want to make money,” however, this is not a great motivator. Think of a deeper motivation that you feel passionate about e.g. “I want to have the financial freedom to spend more time with my kids as they are growing up.”

2. What’s the Purpose of Your Website?

This is the question most visitors will ask when accessing your website. Your home page must clearly explain the purpose and benefits of the products and/or services you are offering.

3. What Type of Products or Services Will You Sell?

Research the marketability of your products or services by doing keyword research. Use the Google Keyword Tool to find out how many searches your main keywords receive every month. If there are no searches, it means there is not much demand and therefore not worth marketing.

If it is a very competitive market (millions of searches per month), it may be difficult to stand out from your competitors and create a profitable online business.

4. How Many Products Will You Sell From Your Website?

This will determine how many pages your website will have. If you’re only selling one product or service, you may only need 4 web pages e.g. Home, Product (or Services), About, Contact. If you’re selling 100s of items, you will need a database driven site to store and manage all of them.

5. How Many Variables Does Your Product Have?

Variables may include size, color, type, sku#, shipping, tax? Make sure your shopping cart allows you to include these variables.

6. How Will You Accept Online Payments?

To accept bank card payments online, you will need a shopping cart, merchant account, payment gateway and SSL certificate for secure transactions. This means you will have monthly fees and processing fees every time a customer purchases something from your website.

A less expensive option for accepting payments online is the Paypal shopping cart. You don’t need to purchase a separate merchant account, shopping cart, payment gateway and secure certificate. For a small processing fee it takes care of all this in one place.

7. Do You Have a Web Hosting Plan?

Your website needs to be hosted on a server for it to be available online. Select a hosting plan that has sufficient space for all your files and bandwidth to receive 1000s of visitors each month. Make sure you have the flexibility to upgrade your plan should you need more space and bandwidth.

8. Will You Need to Maintain the Website Yourself?

Asking this question before the design will determine what software your designer will use to build your website. If it only consists of a few web pages which don’t need regular updating, then use software such as Dreamweaver to build it. It creates clean code and you will have only a few files.

If your website has 100s of pages, consider a content management system such as WordPress, Joomla or Zen Cart. They all enable 100s of items to be stored in a database. The website can be managed (add, edit, or delete items or pages) by logging into an administration area.

9. Do You Have a Marketing Plan?

To create a profitable online business you must create a plan to promote it. Some methods may include, search engine marketing, pay-per-click, article marketing, press releases, social media, video marketing, etc. Website campaigning needs to be done frequently and consistently to be effective.

10. How Will You Monitor Your Website Statistics?

Check if your web hosting plan includes site statistics (e.g. AW Stats). If not, create a Google Analytics account and insert the code on your web pages. It will track how many daily, weekly, monthly, yearly visitors you receive, where they are coming from and what keywords are being used to find your site in the search engines.

If you answer these 10 questions first, you’ll avoid the pitfalls of designing and building a website and add to your potential of creating a profitable online business.

Critical Website Promotional Advice

A route to your organic link building in a pretty natural way

Generally websites are considered well by the search engines if they possess many links coming back to them from other related websites. This scenario is only effective for older websites like websites with minimum age of six months. However, for newer or recently born websites, don’t try to pack them with the in coming links. This is because, now the search engine crawlers have started looking at the behavior of websites in contrast with their ages. It’s more like a human feelings and perceptions about anything that is going awkward or something otherwise. Now the google or any other search engine crawler can easily understand the philosophy of outbound and in coming links for any websites.

It now, clearly knows that a fresh website can’t have so many back links until it don’t have any robust relation with the sites that are pointing back to that site. The penalty might be a sandbox or out of indexing by the search engines.

What we suggest for the newer sites, is to approach the link building process in a pretty natural way, like you can put comments under the posts of related websites. Specifically, blogs of the similar nature are preferred because they generally have unique and newer contents that may give a good values to your web stats when linking back. These links are generally nofollow however, can give a better indexing and promotion for the newer websites.

Another easy and effective way is to write a press release, articles and reviews about your site on certain social media platforms like prlog.org, facebook page, and many others. You can also tweet your posts, news etc to twitter that will ultimately link back to your websites giving a good ranking for search engines.

How to disable right click function of mouse from web pages?

Pages are generally copy righted on the Internet but there’s still probability to steal text or images from the websites. This may lead to dropping from search engines stats when it comes to duplicate content policies. People may not be using exactly what you have written but at least it may cause to draw search engine crawlers to duplicate but a little altered pages. Same goes for images that we generally put to demonstrate our messages more clearly. These images may also be the victim of those content cheaters. Apparently these can only be saved through copyright policies but up to some extent.

Another and additional functionality that at least put the cheaters in some trouble to copy contents is to put a certain script that disables the functionality of mouse right click where people generally use this option to copy web page contents. So, below is the code that will make your page safe from cheaters.

Instructions to copy this Script:

1. Double click your mouse on the start of the script, hold and then drag your mouse to select all script down to the bottom of the page.

2. Then press Control+C to copy the code.

3. You can then place the below code within the <body> tags.

Some of my client’s sites got infected from a virus where the sites were hacked and Google blocked the sites because that sites were started broadcasting malicious components and generating scrips that can harm the viewer’s computer.

Reported Attack Page warning

Symptoms to this situation is that your site will first be blocked by google.com and you’ll see a message once browsing generally in Mozilla Firefox browser that this is a “Reported Attack Page” and in description you’ll find a details that if you visit this site or page, it may harm your computer. The page will be colored in black and read in warning. This is a situation where you’ll loose a trust from your viewers and or customers as they might hesitate to revisit your page keeping in mind that the site was under attack and may harm their computer.
Here is a picture of how a Reported Attack Page warning appear in browser.

Why My website is blocked by google
The obvious reason where your site was blocked by google, is of course it was involved in generation of some malicious components and the scrips are re-directing your site to some other harmful sites and that The site may be distributing malware. But, going through the bud that why the situation was occurred is as follows.

Your hosting account was compromised
Your FTP account was compromised.
You might not be using effective Anti-Virus or Anti-spyware
You might have visited harmful site where you click on the script that caused your secrecy be shared.
You might receive some unknown email with a link where you clicked and the password of your account was sent to the hacker.

How Can I restore my ftp website from hacker’s attack ?

Clean your computer from viruses and format your hard disc. Then login to your ftp account and check all the files for any additional scripts (if you don’t know about coding, refer to your webmaster). Generally eval code which is also known as base64 coding will be shown at the top of your index.php or index.html file. Same code you’ll find on many other files top portions like on config.php, function.php, and may other files get inserted with the same code. So, be sure to chick all files. Additionally you’ll see an additional file of gifimg.php file generally placed in each images folder and in the root as well, Be sure to remove them as well as these files help scripts to run.

The best way you can do is to keep update with the Google Webmaster Tools at the link Google Webmaster Tools where you can create your free account. All instructions to create account and to get stats of your websites are clearly mentioned in easy steps.

Secondly, never share your ftp or hosting account password with anyone and if you have created some temporary ftp accounts, be sure to delete or disable them later. Always use updated anti-virus and anti-spyware to avoid attacks. Finally, keep scanning you personal computer or laptop for with latest anti-virus software so you can get rid of the problem.

Send Request to Google to Review Website

Once you have cleaned up everything and pretty satisfied that there is no viruses or additional files/scripts with your codes, you can then logon to your webmaster tools account and send a request to Goolge to Review your Website.

The term SEO and SEM are pretty famous but confusing at the same time. There is a single alphabet difference in both by writing but a difference of many pages in understanding. Of course, there is a lot more difference in in effectiveness though the purpose remains the same of Business Promotions and generation of Higher Revenues.

SEO the Search Engine Optimization has played a pretty significant role in up lifting the business promotion and developing new and effective strategies for revenue generation. Organic SEO always lead to better results and consequently better promotions. This is all about learning the search engine’s crawling algorithms like of Google.com, MSN, Yahoo and Alta Vista. The basic theme is to promote certain keywords that are highly user or the customer friendly that target your products or the services. Idea remains the same of Advertising as well but the purpose is to get the juice of traffic on any other similar business sites that relates the same philosophy of your business. Not an easy but strategic in applications if you really know the advanced techniques to get this done in a natural way.

SEM, Search Engine Marketing has two aspects one of the SEO and the other of Marketing. You’d rather be afraid what the hell I’m talking about? I’ll say yes.. SEO is in fact a sub component of SEM but it main deal with the Marketing and the direct advertising. In apparently the purpose is to get direct intentions of the customers rather than to get the juice of the traffic on specific site. This may include some nofollow tags as well since the aim is to get the maximum intention and attraction of the customers.

The term will rather be more clear if I say, SEM has two pillars one is the SEO and the other is Internet Advertising.

As we know face book is a platform that gives facility to socialize ourselves and our businesses. It comes live from creating our personal account and explores itself with many possibilities and options to market stuff to our friends, family and the entire Globe wherever we can get people to visit us.

On the left, is the picture of a Fan Page on Facebook as you can see www.Shop4Ease.com is broadcasting it’s news, events and offerings to it’s Fans across the Globe. In fact, fans are the people who voluntarily joins your page and they have a discrete interest in your page’s contents.

The lower Image is presenting a view of Fans on the very page of Shop4Ease.com. So you see you can have facility to have un-limited fans. There have been two major benefits of the page, as one of the Advertising (Totally Free) and the other of SEO where you are optimizing your pages from your website and creating back links for your each page.

The concept is to reveal the detailed and hidden aspects of the particular things to provide the right and differential picture. The idea started from one’s own bio and the background, might be talking about one’s personal life thoroughly.
